those drifter's days are past me now I've got so much more to think about Deadlines and commitments What's a lead-in I'm still running against the wind.

Deadlines and commitments, what to leave in, what to leave out.
George WackerHOST

Speaking about vibe and some people can probably relate to this.
George WackerHOST
7:14
You included Bob Seger's against the wind on, on the silo.
George WackerHOST
7:18
Talk a little bit.
George WackerHOST
7:19
I mean, I, now I'm kind of, it makes sense, right? When you put yourself in that room, but what does that song maybe mean to you? Why did you include it? What's special?
Frank VieleGUEST
7:27
Well, they actually came over to a house where I live and in Connecticut where I filmed that and recorded it live and it wasn't intentional it was them saying Frank I've seen you open for me over a hundred times and you know every once in a while you'll play Against the Wind and I love your version why haven't you ever recorded it so it was just throw a mic in the room and see what happens kind of deal and it wasn't supposed to be on the EP but when I was listening to the EP it felt like it made sense to be the final track on that
George WackerHOST
8:01
So this is, this just released, right? Like this is pretty new.
George WackerHOST

And if I keep thinking about that, how's that song go? Moving eight miles a minute, months at a time.
Jerry Wayne LongmireHOST
68:21
Bob Seger, oh shit, that's Bob Seger, Against the Wind.
Jerry Wayne LongmireHOST
68:25
I was thinking about that day, like, oh, I finally know what that means.
Jerry Wayne LongmireHOST
68:28
I am moving eight miles a minute for months at a time, but it's all right, I'm getting a handle on it.
RhettHOST

Welfare Line, yeah.
DarrenHOST

And, and we're going to Against the Wind by Bob Seger.
BrianHOST
53:02
Yeah.
BrianHOST

Yeah.
BrianHOST
55:30
And then it also made me like reflect like that's gotta be, it's, it's gotta be the way Seger does it, you know? It's just, it's done so, so well, the original.
BrianHOST
55:42
And then also tangentially, that's got one of my favorite connection things.
BrianHOST
55:46
[laughs] This is a random thing that might come up in the future on our podcast, but at the end of Against The Wind, Bob Seger outta nowhere says, "Let the cowboys ride." [laughs] "Against the wind." Completely 100% admitted by him, lifted from Van Morrison's Beautiful Obsession off Wavelength.
BrianHOST
56:09
Mm-hmm.
