Afton

Alright, let's talk about persimmons since we were talking about that earlier.

In fact, I just came back from the Persimmon Festival at Edible Landscaping up in Afton, Virginia, which is has

26

Asian persimmon varieties in trees that are like 20 years old.

Oh, yeah.

Afton, Virginia, man.

And East Stroudsburg, PA, we actually retrofitted an aircraft hangar on the old East Stroudsburg airport, man.

It's sort of cool.

Um, and then last year they won for old pro Goza in the German sour ale category, uh, in 2025, which of course is different than what you won for.

Um, and then further down the road in Afton, Virginia, blue mountain brewery one, uh, Gold actually for contemporary Goza with wild pear.

And I think the name kind of says it all there.

Seems fruit forward Goza is not necessarily a sure thing, but a favorite, at least at the judging table, when all is said and done, what delivers on that.

There'll be a 20% off plant sale on that Friday and Sunday, but no festival on those days.

And this is in Afton, Virginia.

You can find out more about it at ediblelandscaping.com.
