Yeah, I had a really good time with this one.

This is Ricky's first project following up his three-part previous Netflix series, Afterlife, which I didn't watch that show, but from what I heard, also got pretty heavy and weighty and existential, you know, because that one was all about, like, oh, it's a guy who is, like, gets diagnosed with cancer.

And then it's like, okay, well, what is, like, the point of living life? And, you know, it's getting into all those different themes.

And this time it's like, okay, so...

yeah yeah it was really it was really genuine and heartfelt especially given that um especially given that like um this show was really all about like kind of how do you maintain like it's part of i feel like what ricky's been doing a lot of since covid which is he you can tell that he's like you know he's getting up there in aid so you can tell that he's like also somebody who's dealt with like you know depression a lot of the time and i think he's You can always sense those types of conversations that they have, especially in art form.

It's like, oh, you know, the existential nature of life is life worth living.

What makes life worth living? You know, the whole thing of it's like, oh, if we're all going to die anyways, you know, what's the point of it? You know, because he was talking about that a lot in Afterlife as well.

And so I feel like this is his way of continuing that, only this time just in the form of animated castings.

David Earl, who's in Alley Cats and all Ricky Gervais' stuff.

Joe Wilkinson, I think, was in Afterlife.

And they're both very funny in their own right, but they do this thing where they each revisit their favourite sitcoms, Porridge, The Office, and what's the other one?

There's a lot of, there's a lot of chimpanzee pissing into their own mouth, uh, kind of Gervais reviews this week.

Everyone's just having their kind of go, and it's just a bit over, isn't it? Like you, if you didn't get any...

You'll know him as the, the weird postie on After Life, Ricky Gervais' series.

He does a podcast called Gossip Mongers, which is hilarious.

Um, and he is just one [laughs] of the funniest people I think I've ever seen.

The only problem is Ricky Gervais isn't writing the script.

You know his brilliant dark comedy, After Life, where he finds humor in the darkest of places, and even in Alley Cats, his new program.

Well, that's a bit like what's happened today.

Burnham has wanted to talk about fly-tipping, so he's gone to areas where there's loads of fly-tipping, and the press haven't gone with him.

They all need deporting, along with the effing leaflets and whoever the leaflets are intended for.

We're in After Life, we're in Alley Cats.

It's a satire and we don't quite realize it.

But also, he sounds very much like Ricky Gervais.
