To help us understand exactly what happened at the summit, I spoke with Daniel Adagi, Mediatrust correspondent and fact-checker.

About six opposition parties, you know, in attendance, the African Democratic Congress, a layered people movement, Nigerian Democratic Congress, People's Democratic Party, People's Redemption Party, and the Social Democratic Party.

And they reached an agreement to field a single candidate by 2027. the parties agreed that they would come up with a framework in the next four weeks.

That framework will determine the modality with which the single candidates will emerge.

The decision was taken at the 158th National Economic Council meeting in Abuja.

In the meantime, ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar is questioning the figures behind Nigeria's expanded cash transfer program.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Atiku is accusing the Tenembu administration of inconsistency.

The presidency earlier reported that 15 million vulnerable households benefited, but the humanitarian affairs minister now says it is slightly over 10 million.

This is our money our president is spending.

The, the faction of members of the Labour Party in Alimosho to the ADC were violently disrupted.

Governors remain leaders of the APC in states.

As reactions continue to troll former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's promise to restore fuel subsidy if elected president in twenty twenty-seven, one question is becoming difficult to ignore.

What would the return of fuel subsidy actually mean for Nigerians? Atiku, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, made the promise during a Hausa language interview on Wednesday, August nineteenth.

He said he initially did not oppose the removal of the subsidy, but that development since then had changed his position.

But while cheaper petrol may sound like welcome news to Nigerians dealing with high transport and living costs, there's another side to the promise.

So, as campaigns gather momentum, is the cost of political advertising shutting out smaller parties? Let's find out.

In another news, fuel subsidies are making a comeback on the campaign trail as candidates put machineries in place for the 2027 elections.

ADC presidential candidate Abubakar Atiku kicked off the conversation by saying he would bring back subsidies if elected.

In a viral interview, Atiku said in Hausa that subsidy savings were meant to reduce poverty and fund education.

But they appear to have been stolen.

The, the faction of members of the Labor Party in Alimosho to the ADC were violently disrupted.

Mr. Tinubu, who represents the All Progressives Congress, or APC, faces 18 opposition candidates, although analysts expect a three-way contest.

His main challengers include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress and Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

The campaign comes as Nigerians face rising living costs, unemployment and continuing insecurity.

Mr Tinubu's economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the devaluation of the Naira, have won support from investors and international lenders.

067 votes to secure another four-year term.

Oyabamidj from the APC received a total of 444,815 votes, while Najim Salam of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, finished in third place with 17,180 votes.

For that, Adeleke Ademla Jackson of the Accord Party, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is hereby returned elected.
