AFI (The Blood Album)

I think they did actually play Aurelia on this run, to be fair.

Anyway, what I'm getting to is that my pick for the most underrated is 2017's self-titled album, also known as The Blood Album.

Can I just chime in here

and say that's also my pick as well? So I'll add something.

And I just think ultimately with AFI, when you've got so much evolution there and you've got so many different reference points to their music, it just comes down to the album that has the songs you like the most, I think.

And this just has that.

And they're a band that have... often toyed with the 80s aesthetic and 80s sound from 80s goth to new wave to synth pop and everything in between and this was the album where for me I mean the new album the newer album has gone turbo into that category into that realm and I think they do it really really really fucking well I think the Blood album was a point where they had a lot of that going on, but it was still layered around those, I'll use that word again, big anthemic rock songs, tracks like Above the Bridge and Snowcats packing massive choruses.

I think White Offerings is maybe, if I was going to pick the most underrated AFI song, I'd probably pick White Offerings.
