So, my relationship with Magic the Gathering changed after I played my first Pro Tour.

What was that? That was Aetherdrift last year.

beginning of the year.

And like, every box goes, and it's not a big deal.

Then they'll have dra... uh, sets like Aetherdrift, that everybody fucking hated, and then they've just got a bunch of money sitting in a box that they can't sell.

Which I do understand for them as a business, and he gave me some insight that, like, he's like, "You know, I spent 50 grand on the product that I'm getting for The Hobbit." And it's like, that's a lot of money to just have to have sitting around-

Like, you think of, like, the Modern Horizons cards that are so pushed, and have just maintained these really high prices over the years-

... versus cards that are powerful, like, like for Aetherdrift, like The Aether Spark, Loot the Pathfinder, Radiant Lotus.
