The next big iteration of Changi, from what I understand, is going to be a huge redevelopment, basically creating an airport city to reference sort of Greg Lindsay's 2011 book Aerotropolis, effectively creating Aerotropolis on the far side of Changi Airport, relocating the passenger ferry terminal and the cruise terminal around it and creating a cultural district.

So rather than trying to like create these spaces just to be like architectural wonders, albeit the jewel does look wonderful, it's them creating a sense of place of this is the place that you can feel safe, you can spend time and you actually don't mind spending that time in it.
