Adventure People

I'm telling you, it all fits together.

The earliest prototype of Kenner's Han Solo action figure, of which we have photos anyway, is a modified example of a figure out of the Fisher-Price Adventure People line.

The figure in question is a conceptual model, a handmade mock-up created to demonstrate the basic idea of Han Solo.

Adventure People was the ideal basis for the models that kickstarted the Kenner Star Wars line, mostly because it was one of the few figure lines predating Star Wars made in the 3 ¾ inch scale.

I mean, Kenner wasn't going to base their models on Migo's 8 inch figures because they were too large.

They needed something around 4 inches, and Adventure People fit the bill.

Indeed, most of the models of the first twelve figures were based on Adventure People.

The Han figure of which we have a photo displays the typical Adventure People pose, left leg slightly engaged, left hand turned palm downward, as though poised to grasp some implement.
