So Dr. Kramer, can you start by just introducing yourself and how you got involved in this research?

Yeah, so I probably have a very different background than a lot of folks that you've had on this before.

Um, I came into this field, um, from geography actually.

So, uh, I have my PhD in geography with a focus on severe weather climatology.

And, um, when I was completing that, I was also working, uh, at FEMA doing some geospatial and data engineering type things, uh, and eventually moved on into the international association of firefighters as a GIS analyst, um, So in that move, I am also a lifelong learner and couldn't, you know, I wanted to learn more about more things and started to look into fire and EMS operations research and ended up getting appointed by someone at the IFF.

I can't even recall because this was back in 2020 to this group of researchers.

We did one paper about finding out priorities from stakeholders about EMS education in the pandemic and what they wanted us to research.

So an evolution of the requirements, kind of a revisiting and And from each of your perspectives, do you feel like people were kind of revisiting things, you know, that were a process that are now like, well, maybe we should do this instead because it actually worked better?
