Yep, Espaillat, who, by the way, was head of the Hispanic caucus.

I mean, it's not just anybody.

That's shocking.

And th- on net, by one point, that argument won out in the Michigan Senate primary.

Uh, in, uh, New York's 13th congressional district between Adriano Espaillat and Daria Liza Avila Chevalier, um, one of the, one of the only differentiating, um, policy issues in which there was a clear, um, difference between her and Adriano Espaillat outside of kind of a general orientation, you know, he's part of the Democratic establishment, she's part of the DSA, is Palestine and Gaza.

And she, of course, was a leader or an activist in the Columbia encampment, uh, in 2024.

In New York 10, Brad Lander versus Dan Goldman, um, which has a particularly large Jewish community, but especially a quite liberal Jewish community, Gaza again was the defining issue.

And Cuomo's older than Mamdani, like, I guess was her thinking.

Mm.

And, you know, it made me think, um, that particular band, Oro Solido, a friend of mine, Raul Acosta, who is, um, a business partner of mine, but he was recently in the news, which was interesting.

He, he, he's making headlines for being a write-in candidate, a write-in candidate for the, um, congressional seat that was formerly held by Adriano Espaillat.

And this is an interesting story 'cause you may have heard the, the, the new nominee f- for that is a Democrat socialist named Darieliza Chevalier.

And Darieliza is, I would say she's to the left of AOC, right? AOC is like the Puerto Rican communist sympathizer.

That's been making news.

Dariel Razava or Chavalia of New York 13, intentionally butchering that name, DSA member who defeated incumbent Adriano Espaillat in the Democratic primary.

Valdez and Chavala are running in heavily Democrat New York districts right now, Andy.

So the congressional DSA contingent could expand substantially in January to five or six.

Should I try and angle to be on the committee?" She was literally crowdsourcing from not just her district, but the interwebs for people who knew more about Congress, right? And people who said, "Well, I think you would be really good on this particular committee because of X, Y, and Z." You know? And so I think Daniella Isa isn't as...

Daniella Chevalier, who's replacing Espaillat, presumably.

You know, she hasn't been as active on social media, but it'll be curious to see how she uses, as... because she is younger, how she uses the district and social media to help her make decisions.
