Adonis

We know the name of this god.

It was Tammuz, or Adonis is the Greek name for this god, and this handsome young god was a favorite with the women.

You can read about this god and the women who worshipped him in Ezekiel 8.14. And this god Tammuz, or Adonis, Antiochus would have nothing to do with, and he forbade the women of his kingdom to worship Adonis.

Everybody had to worship his god.

That was the first step.

who went by the name Klykara.

And when we analyzed it, it could have been written by a jilted lover, whether it was an ex-lover of hers or an ex-lover of her husband, we don't know.

But love was involved.

It was probably a love triangle.

Sometimes even by threatening the gods.

Yeah, there's an instance where you have to use compulsory language to almost threaten the goddess Aphrodite for her help and you...

Write in the curse tablet that you will make sure that she never gets to see her mortal lover Adonis again.

Like, there are some curse formulas that are pretty crazy where you are almost threatening a god to help you.

Someone approaches them.

His name is Adonis.

Obviously hot as

fuck.

They're having a good time.

They're just chit chatting.

Adonis says, yeah, Hades always sticks upstairs.

And if any human wants to go up there to make a wager with him, they have to have a password.

Been there? And the way that they kind of explained this deity was that there's different, with a lot of Greek legends and figures, there's a variety of explanations of how they were sired, essentially, the different parentages of these deities.

But in this story, essentially Dionysus was away in India and Aphrodite, who was with Dionysus, who I think that was also kind of an affair, while he was away, she hooked up with Adonis.

It's always Aphrodite.

Yeah.

And of course, Adonis would be the one to lure her.

But Hera was not happy about that.

So when Aphrodite went to have Dionysus' child, this is getting a little soap opera-y in the Grecian mythology.
