La novità fondamentale, come dicevo, è appunto il display che è un OLED tandem, quindi ha due strati sovrapposti di pixel che lavorano insieme e permettono a Apple di arrivare ad una luminosità di duemila nit, quindi veramente tanti, con un contrasto dichiarato fino a dieci milioni a uno.

La società di Cupertino definisce questo display ProLED XDR con i suoi soliti nomi un po' fantasiosi, ma la sostanza è comunque di altissimo livello perché appunto parliamo di un display che supporta il refresh variabile da dieci hertz fino a centoventi hertz, ha il supporto diretto e nativo per gli spazi colore Adobe RGB e display P3, quindi è utile, è sicuramente molto interessante anche per una calibrazione dei colori fatta per bene, per chi fa editing di foto e video, quindi anche per un utilizzo ultra professionale, ma soprattutto ha tutti i vantaggi dei display OLED tandem, quindi un effetto blooming molto più ridotto, neri quasi assoluti, quindi tutto quello che avete probabilmente già visto per monitor professionali usciti negli ultimi due o tre anni finalmente lo abbiamo anche all'interno dello schermo dei nuovi MacBook.

Finalmente c'è anche il supporto alle dita sullo schermo che non piacerà, non sarebbe piaciuto a Steve Jobs che si starà rivoltando nella tomba probabilmente, però come dicevo finalmente è arrivato e vi permette di usare macOS in un modo che finora probabilmente non si era mai visto prima.
