Adeptus Titanicus

It's always difficult for me because I'm on a... crazy time zone I think I'm two hours away from Australia so that's kind of two hours doesn't seem so much but if I'm starting hobbying at about seven that's like nine in Australia so it's not always ideal it's quite late for those guys and I will see miles away from the US and miles away from the UK so if you're kind of UK based US based Australia based and you'd like to get a little hobby chat going then please let us know you know just in fact you don't even need to let us know just get doing it just doing it you know don't don't ask for permission just just rock it and see what happens anyway that is enough of the post ramble ramble very rambly one this time but i hope you enjoy and uh coming up over the next few episodes are going to get back to some more why i loves got a whole bunch booked in i got a little bit of hobby time a hobby time not hobby time a little bit of holiday time over the next week So I'm going to be chatting to The Essex about one-page rules.

I've already spoke to Butler Plays, these are both from the Discord server, about Adeptus Titanicus.

I'm going to talk to Armin about terrain.

And also a gentleman who lives in Bali who's making a miniatures game without miniatures.

Yep, 45,000 points on the table.

I never saw so many Adeptus Titanicus Titans in one place.

And then, and then, like, any time somebody ran up to try to get control of the gun, they just got blown to pieces [laughs] as they got close to it.

So that, that really eliminated that for us.

But I think the thing that appealed to me the most about it was, um, f- from a Legions Imperialis standpoint compared to Adeptus Titanicus standpoint, the, the rules seemed streamlined.

They, they were able to support such a large group of, of Titans and knights and things.

Because, like, you know, you have the Wolves version of it, then you have the Thousand Suns version of it, and now you've got the Custodes version of it.

Are we going to get a Sons of Horus version of it now, too? Maybe a Solar Ox version of it? Who knows? Maybe a Solar Ox version? How about a Titanicus or Titan Legion or...

I mean, I'm just saying, like, but each version is, like, so different from the other one.

You know, usually you're able to kind of get the meat and potatoes from the thing and then meat in the middle.

All right.

We are going to very, very, very quickly glance over at Titanicus Tratorus.

I gave them the exact same ratings that I gave to the Imperial Titans.

They are the same thing.

I didn't even rate them.

So, yeah, you know.

I knew you hadn't because you didn't rate the Titanicus.

So I was like, let's just quickly mention they exist.

We have a lot of planning that we're doing.

Jeff and I are going to play Titanicus next to Depticon for the first time.

So in spite of the

event...

for them to do an evening session for those of us who have overbooked all of the events next year.

Yes.

Oh, that's true because if we do Titanicus, we can't do Impact Venture or Speed Paint.

Correct.

Like, you know, you can explain something like...

Something like Gaslands can have a quick reference card, and something like Adeptus Titanicus can't, because in order to truly play the game you need, and I have made these, you need at least four sheets of A4 in order to unpack all the stuff that you're actually going to need to refer to.

Yeah.

But, like, I played a lovely... sort of card-driven map control game a couple of weeks ago.

That will bring us to one of the memier sides of the armies.

We're gonna very quickly talk about Adeptus Titanicus, 'cause they are technically a faction.

Adeptus Titanicus, the faction that isn't.

You know what? I didn't even look at them.

In a standard 40K 2K game, you can bring one option, so not really much of an army.

eye? Just lots of spearhead stuff.

Lots of Legions Imperialis, Titanicus, and...

What's the next spearhead you're going to buy from me?

Do you know, like, the, this makes me think of playing Titanicus, which was really, really cool.
