Riccardo BallHOST

Yeah, Melbourne Storm doing Melbourne Storm things with recruitment.
Riccardo BallHOST
37:13
Added Adam Pompey, obviously, out of the Warriors as well.
Riccardo BallHOST
37:16
Yeah, who's, I think, a solid piece of business.
Riccardo BallHOST
37:19
And it would not surprise me, given the way that Melbourne Storm do things, that Adam Pompey, like, wins Dallium Centre of the Year next season or something, you know.
Riccardo BallHOST
37:27
It's what happens when you start running around under Craig Bellamy.
Mitch JamesHOST
37:31
Yeah, we let go of Eli Katoa here at the Warriors and he ended up becoming arguably, according to some, the best second rower in the game when he was healthy.

Yeah, we let go of Eli Katoa here at the Warriors and he ended up becoming arguably, according to some, the best second rower in the game when he was healthy.
HampoHOST
23:47
Obviously, you can move him into second row if you need him to, but I think he's the perfect center for them at the moment, exactly what they need.
HampoHOST
23:56
I've never been a huge fan of guys like Pompey and a couple other guys they've put there at times, so I think he's the answer to a lot of questions that they had and And we saw it on the weekend.
HampoHOST
24:07
He's a game-breaker.
HampoHOST
24:08
He's all X Factor.
HampoHOST
24:10
And as I said, it's crazy to think he's 21 years old.
JoelHOST
24:14
The Warriors could be getting to that stage as well because I'm hearing rumours Adam Pompey is heading to the Storm.
JoelHOST
24:19
So they might be already on the front foot with all this and thinking to themselves that Laker might be now a centre.
JoelHOST
24:25
Skip, your thoughts?
Scott PrydePANELIST
3:31
That probably means that Brandon Smith needed to be re-signed, and he has done that through to the end of 2028.
Phoenix TrinidadHOST
3:36
And we also have Adam Pompey signing with the Storm.
Phoenix TrinidadHOST
3:39
We'll get to the Storm later on in the show with the burning question, but he has departed the Warriors.
Scott PrydePANELIST
3:45
He has, yeah.
Scott PrydePANELIST
3:45
So, I mean, obviously the Storm were originally looking at Rocco Berry.
Scott PrydePANELIST
3:48
That one fell through over a failed medical.
Scott PrydePANELIST
3:51
Adam Pompey is the other option who was on the outer at the Warriors, and he will head across to the Storm.
Scott PrydePANELIST
3:56
Whether he finds minutes or not next year, I'm not 100% sure.
TommyPANELIST
11:46
I do think one thing that has sort of been glossed over as a result is how much – their key players struggled this year like I think in years gone by when they have been light on in certain areas or when they've gotten the best out of guys that you didn't expect them to like there's been a lot of shining lights this year too like you mentioned Cooper Clark before and the way he has stepped up I think that this was Munster's worst year by some margin in terms of just purely on performances and I think that's sort of been glossed over by how brave they were despite all the other things going on and there was enough away that sort of shone away from that so I think for them to be in the top eight next year, let alone a premiership threat, like they need those guys completely firing again, which I think when you look at their run of the grand final last year, they all really turned it on when it came to finals.
TommyPANELIST
12:36
What I do like, though, about their recruits, like outside of Asako, you've got three guys there in Bronson Sherry, Kelmer, and Adam Pompey who have shown a lot of potential but definitely have a point to prove, which I think when you look at Bellamy and the Melbourne Storms track record, if some of those guys are playing origin or international footy, whatever it looks like in 12 months' time, I won't be surprised.
TommyPANELIST
12:59
Yeah.
TommyPANELIST
13:00
Yeah,
MattyPANELIST
17:59
And it was rumoured that Jack was going to be going there at the start of the year in exchange for Lomax.
MattyPANELIST
18:04
So, yeah, a little spot to watch there, I think.
MattyPANELIST

Will EvansHOST
19:55
He was coming off a really good season, a really good couple of years, really Pompey, and fell back into some old habits this year.
Will EvansHOST
20:02
A couple of costly sim binnings, a pretty dumb suspension, and a few really dusty games amongst some reasonable ones, but nothing too... too great to hang your hat on, unfortunately, for wets.
Will EvansHOST
20:16
I was hanging out at the washing bread after the news, and it reminded me, I equated Adam Pompey, watching Adam Pompey, to hanging out at a duvet cover.
Will EvansHOST
20:27
Sometimes, you know, you go in with positive thoughts that it shouldn't be this hard.
Israel DaggHOST

Israel DaggHOST
8:23
Uh, are they, are you happy with, with Leka and, and Grant Anderson in the center role? Is there any other places or positions that need to be in consideration for you when going to market?
Cam GeorgeGUEST
8:33
Well, I think the, um, where we got light this year, predominantly through injuries, um, was that outside back space.
