And towards the bottom of his piece that came out yesterday, Arpin writes about... every step of Hudson's hockey journey, he's gone through the same process, finding solutions to problems that had not previously existed for him.

In Montreal, he arrived in an environment where he has the people and the resources now to do that work more intensely than ever before, starting with his coach and director of hockey development, Adam Nicholas, two people who who will never deny a request to go over video together.

Hudson in Arpen's piece saying, Nicholas has done so much for me, getting rid of my old habits, and no one is harder on themselves than Lane Hudson.

Even Nick Suzuki in Arpen's piece would talk about how he would do, Hudson would do 10 things really well in a game, but maybe make one mistake, and that's the one thing that Hudson would harp on and really consume himself with.

And then I was getting stuck and I'm like, I need to change something.

And I was asking him what he thinks about it.

And what Adam Nicholas basically showed Hudson was that just because you beat someone in the National Hockey League doesn't mean it's time to relax.

Your feet need to keep moving because that space you create disappears really fast unless you work to create more.

Um, and I would say Ivan Demidov is from the same cloth, like constantly on the ice during the summer, always on the ice.

Um, in fact, you know, fun story, uh, Logan Cooley was in Montreal for a CCM event and he, he knows Adam Nicholas, who's the Canadiens director of, of, uh, development.

And, uh, Ivan Demidov invited him to the Canadiens practice facility to skate together.

And when I spoke to Logan about it, he was just like mind blown at the work ethic from a guy like Demidov just being on the ice with him for two days.

And there's also...

the on-ice aspect clearly with the NHL players, namely with Adam Nicholas.

So how would you assess the way that, you know, your objective, your goal has been attained to, you know, to shore up that player development department and the impact that it has had on especially the younger players to bring them from, from their, their, their, their draft year to full-time members of the Canadian.

So how, how the, how would you rate the impact that this this group of people have had on the organization?

He wants to know what it says.

He wants to know if his eye test is confirmed or if it's saying something completely different.

So Adam Nicholas is really into analytics and AI and all that stuff.

So We have a pretty good blend there, but there's that thirst of what's next and what other teams are doing.

I, I love Adam Nicholas, one of the, one of the bright hockey minds that the Canadiens have in their organization.

And he talked about how he, Adam Nicholas pushes guys a little bit more.

He's, he's a little bit more vocal on the ice.

It seems that every part of this team has come to age together, incl- and it goes from the players to the coaching staff to the, the front office all the way to their director of development in Adam Nicholas.
