Adam McQuaid

Like, that is a tough kid.

It reminds me a little bit of Adam McQuaid when he first came into the league.

Remember, there was a bunch of tough guys that challenged him, like, right off the bat.

And a couple of them got popped and, like, you know, they realized the word got out real fast.

Don't mess with Adam McQuaid.

He's a tough kid.

Bauer, we're seeing the same kind of thing.

But like I said, I'm a huge gear junkie.

When I went up and spoke to their player development camp, Adam McQuaid who runs the player development program was like, hey, do you want to go out and skate with the team? I was like, I'd love to, I don't have skates or anything.

And the equipment guys were like, oh, so-and-so who just left last season, he left a brand new pair here.

Let me sharpen them for you.

And, and we soon found out that the timekeepers made half as much as the refs.

So my brother and I soon, soon decided that we, we might as well referee, since we were half-dressed anyway.

We'd just put a jersey on and, and it was, it was just, you know, uh, making pin money at the rink.

But if you wanted a treat from the vending machine, uh, you were gonna referee or you're gonna time keep some hockey.

And I think that, that Nancy and I got down to see that game.

It was the Eastern Conference Final, Buffalo against, or Boston against Pittsburgh, and Boston won at home that night.

And one of our alumni, uh, his brother, Adam McQuaid, scored the only goal of the game in a one-nothing win.

So it was pretty special.
