Was it like that for you?

Yeah, definitely.

Just being around those guys.

I mean, it was I think we got the record or if not, you know, one of the top records for having the most first round draft picks.

And it was just year after year after year.

And when you're around that environment, especially in sports or, you know, and in a job market or whatever job field that you're in right now, you want to collaborate and be around people that will only make you rise your level to the next occasion or whatever.

So for me, just being around those folks that are really focused on one thing and that was just winning, And the camaraderie is hands down.

What goes into that decision making to say, you know what, when I'm retired, when I'm done, I want to come back here and live in the DMV? It

[laughs]

... and we gonna get you some sacks." But, like, for me, nah, you gotta be a thinker, you gotta be out there controlling the situation and know what's going on before the snap.

Um, I think the more time you can prepare before the snap, and when the ball snaps, you're, you're ready to take off and play full speed.

A lot of times you can get, um, paralyzed by some of the play calling and the tempo of the game.

Um, and maybe he might be experiencing that right now.

But, um, the more reps he's getting, the more in tune these guys are really paying attention to what's going on because they're, they're a lot more prepared than what, uh, you know, our day and age, uh, guys were.

Just because they, um, spent some more time in school or they just have just a little bit more experience older, um, that they can come in here and sort of make that transition a little bit faster.

Where does that come from? Where does your foundation of this confidence and this belief in yourself come from?

Yeah.

I was just chilling, man.

I, I knew I was gonna go a little bit, uh, early or whatnot.

I had some injuries here or there.

But, um, I was a pretty competitive player, so I thought I was gonna go kind of high.

And s- when the linebackers started going off, I was like, that's when I built my list-
