Adam Mares

I'm curious of your overall opinion on Mitch Johnson as a head coach.

As I was listening to your show with Adam Mares, I would disagree with your questioning on if Mitch is the right guy.

I'm definitely in the minority in the Spurs community with this take, but I've honestly been very impressed overall with Mitch Johnson's tenure as head coach.

To start...

Your track record is flawless with him.

I remember back in the day when I was talking to my friend Adam Mares way back, like 2017, like who should i listen to man like like i i love your shows but there must be somebody else out there oh check out that guy on harvard knox back in the day andy bailey's is really nailing his his uh his takes there so There's this sentiment that Nikola is now, after his first serious injury in his career last winter, past his athletic prime.

And I have to admit, I was considering that possibility during playoffs as well.

After five games, which is roughly 7% of the season, so a very small sample, he has a negative net rating of minus 0.8 individually.

And that kind of goes back to what I said earlier in the episode that, you know, I had pretty much talked myself into Denver's second unit by the time the season started.

And then I got even more excited about it in the preseason.

I'm scrolling through messages with a friend who texts me about the nuggets.

I can't find it, but I'm pretty sure I told him at some point in the pre preseason, um, this Brazil guy might, he might fully replace Peyton Watson, like right off the bat.

hello and welcome to a free preview of the greatest of all talk hello and welcome back to another episode of greatest of all talk i'm andrew sharp and on the other line will he be booing or staying respectful today adam mares what's up man I'll be booing.

Exercising your right

Everyone hated it.

Shout out to Adam Mares.

It was so stupid.

It was like when they would interview the baseball manager during the third inning, but they did it with Rudy Gobert while he's on the bench.

Uh, we also have a tarot episode coming out-

Adam, your cord is like coming out.

Will you just hold it?

On, uh, the whole time?

Like yours.

[laughs]

Adam Mares' answer.

Yeah, yeah.

What is up, everybody, and welcome to the All-NBA Show.

I'm your host, Adam Mares.

I'm joined by my esteemed colleague, you know him, the host of Hoops Tonight over at The Volume.

It's Jason Timpf, back for Season 2.
