So the, the city did operate an economic development grant program from 2006 all the way through 2022, and the question that the council is asking right now is, how can we provide better support to our local businesses? There are a lot of headwinds for our, our local companies.

And so the council is saying, "How can we better support those local businesses? How can we make sure that they stay competitive, that they're able to continue operating?" And with the program as it, as it was set up previously, we allocated about 50,000, that's five zero, uh, per year to the program.

On average, over the program's 17-year history, we awarded, uh, around $15,000 per year.

There were a total of 16 businesses that received a grant through that operating period.
