Adam Griffiths

So overall, I felt like it was a good performance and a performance where we were growing confidence from it.

Yeah, that was Adam Griffiths, Perth Glory head coach, a little earlier today, head of their clash with the Brisbane Raw, 5 o'clock later this evening.

It was 2-1 loss to MacArthur for the Perth Glory last Saturday.

And the women's side taking on Adelaide United tomorrow at 2 o'clock.

You're now the captain for the club.

Is there a renewed sense of optimism this season, full pre-season now under Adam Griffiths, that perhaps Perth can achieve good things this season?

Yeah, 100%.

We're all optimistic.

And the fact that Ryan Fraser only played, what, 35 minutes and managed to have an impact on the game.

Now, it's not to say that Sasha Algonovsky doesn't know how to coach a side or Adam Griffiths doesn't know how to coach a side, but let me tell you.

How would those two teams operate without those two players? And that's the big, big difference.

I think they've made some really good signings.

So they've got a lot of quality, but I think in terms of midfield and their defence, it's probably not quite as good or as eye-catching.

So if I'm Adam Griffiths, I'm looking at how can we get these guys in transition and how can we mitigate MacArthur's front-line players because those guys are going to be a threat.

And I think there are still quite a few unknowns as to how they will play.

They've got a new coach in, Sasha Ogunovsky.

half. All right, let's go over to the west, Perth Glory.

Obviously last season they had a decent start under Adam Griffiths after he was brought in following the sacking of David Zdrilic after just two games.

But unfortunately, they did fall away towards the end of the season when looked like there might be a chance of sneaking into the finals.

So I suppose the question for this season is how will Adam Griffiths fare in his first full season? I liked the pickup of Callum Newnham, have been trying to track him for a long time, Moppa, but all I was getting was injury updates from him, so I'm really excited to see him on the pitch this season and hopefully that he can stay fit.

What about their draw though? Three of their first 10 at home, so they're gonna be traveling a fair bit, but they do finish with eight at home from their last 11 games.

So if they can just stay in touch, um, with that top six, you just never know what they might be able to bring home.

I think some players to keep an eye out for, Will Freeny could be in for a breakout season, and Tom Lawrence, when he was on the pitch for them last season, he really made them tick.

But they tended to, last season, concede a lot of possession and try to get teams on the counterattack, which they did with varying success.

But now it's over.

Good morning to you, Adam.

Great to see you.

Good morning to you, Mulchy, as well.

It was excellent.

Mm-hmm.

And I wanted you to tell everybody where you were yesterday, Adam, please.

I was in Canberra at Parliament House, actually.
