Craig GassGUEST

And that two days turned into two days a week for almost an entire year of 2001.
Craig GassGUEST
31:18
And then they started bringing in Adam Carolla-
John Clay WolfeHOST

Mm-hmm
Craig GassGUEST

...
Glenn KirschnerHOST
10:13
Hmm.
J.L. CauvinGUEST
10:13
Um, and I had started doing it, the first time I ever did it I was actually a guest on "The Adam Carolla Show" when, uh, people like me still kind of listened to it, when it was like, eh, it's, like, 5% right wing and 90% good comedy.
J.L. CauvinGUEST
10:26
Now, it's seems to have flipped that, that, that, that ratio.
J.L. CauvinGUEST
10:30
But I did it in 2014.
Glenn KirschnerHOST
10:35
Hmm.
J.L. CauvinGUEST
10:36
It was just a random...
J.L. CauvinGUEST
10:37
Carolla had mentioned Trump, like, 'cause he was on "The Celebrity Apprentice" at one point, and I just started tinkering with a, with a Trump impression.
J.L. CauvinGUEST
10:45
And it was not good, but it was, like, the foundation of it.
Chris ArnesonHOST
39:51
Like I would, I literally left South Hill like a handful of times.
Chris ArnesonHOST
39:56
going into spring of 2026 from summer 2023 into spring of 2026 i only left south hill by myself a handful of times it was like to that extreme like that's how i was so like in character as this like south hill thrift shop guy and then i just have started getting like and no that's what it is because this is what also i was thinking about was um i think adam carolla has talked about this and this literally happened to me actually i get all excited no dude this is actually what happened in my life is there are stories about undercover cops who they go undercover into situations and they get in so deep that they can't get out and it's called like getting like in too deep it's it's a some 41 song and that's, I honestly, now that I think, cause I'm like, I wasn't, I kind of was going undercover though in the beginning just to, cause I was like, I was going undercover cause I was literally, I was saying I'm going to stay a few months, like five months tops.
Chris ArnesonHOST
41:12
I was like, I'm here five months tops or like I'll have a certain amount of money saved up and then I'll bounce.
Chris ArnesonHOST
41:18
I'll get the heck out of there and I'll be gone.

Hey, boys, I'm watching you.
Chris ArnesonHOST
112:38
I'm watching you boys from the sidelines.
Chris ArnesonHOST
112:44
but um um no dude i wasn't that's the funny thing though is i was just like a normal kid who was like literally just like slightly less cool than my friends that's that's literally i was the cameron fry just like this that's like the more average kid who just you know i had some like emotional i obviously i had like emotional angst because of this i imagine i would not have had my emotional angst if i hadn't been one of the cool kids who had a girlfriend in elementary school or junior high in looking back in retrospect you're like i would all of my all of that like emotional angst build up it all stems from not ever being quite cool enough in school isn't that weird looking back you're like dude um what's the word like uh society that's how society works no but it's like this weird like group think where you're like yeah but you're not as cool as these other people so then you don't get these girls like that's literally kind of how i'm like and then and then you kind of just some like adam this is an adam carolla theory is that somehow your relationship with women is like defined when you're like 13 or something when when you're like very young and it kind of makes sense to me because because i'm like i kind of It kind of is the way it is.
