And on this month's episode of the Dark History Road Trip, we're heading to the small but surprisingly progressive town of Ada, Michigan.

If you or someone you know is from this area, chances are you've heard this famous ghost story.

And full disclosure road trippers, this one's been scaring me since I was old enough to drive, and I'm 100% guilty of checking my rear view mirror every time I pass conservation at night.

I'll even turn the interior lights on in my car, when I get a little weird feeling in the area because seeing something or someone wandering the road out there would be terrifying.

This tale is mostly considered an urban legend and supposedly dates back to the 19th century.

None of them had ever lived there.

And Tim and I both live in Ada, which is where our golf course is located.

So our kids go to school here.

We're a part of the community.

We didn't have any homes on the golf course.

A couple houses have views of our golf course, but they're not part of our land.

Um, but the land feature and in Ada, Michigan, Ada is the most affluent suburb of Grand Rapids.

I think it's second or third only to Birmingham, Michigan, and then somewhere up near Traverse city, you know, where it's beautiful for four or five months a year tops.

It may travel a bit.

Because there were ads for businesses in the Grand Rapids area, and other things in West Michigan.
