Yeah, so I asked Scott this exact question after I watched it, because it, like, the action in it, it's directed by Scott Waugh, who did Act of Valor, Need for Speed, the Expendables.

and what do we want when I watched runner it very much as much as good as the action like the stunt work is that it's competently done but it felt very to me as if it was a movie that had been edited down based on the lack of blood where there would be because it's all digital now certain edits that like feel like we're cutting away just at a certain time that could easily be put back in my thought to scott was like is this because like it's an angel film so they don't want to sell that kind of a movie and they want it so the fact that you're saying there's actually another version makes a hundred percent sense to me and it was

confirmed that there is a version some people have alleged that their country got it specifically in canada but

... it's kinda little, it feels backwards to me.

And this is when I read the script, I was in from the beginning 'cause I'd been trying to find something that kinda got me back to my original movie, Act of Valor, that just felt like there was an emotional reason all of them were doing it.

And in this one, when he's like, you know, down and out dude that's getting a redemptive second chance to s- try and save a daughter that's seven year old, girl, it's like, I'm in, man.

Yeah, you know another great one, and I, like I say, I did Expendables 4 under the, under the thought in my head, 'cause I really just...

S- Sly and I at that time wanted to work together.

He really was a fan of my movie Act of Valor, and we were trying to find something to work together.

And when that job came up, you know, they were, the other director kinda peeled out at four weeks to production, and they called me and said, "Hey, can you come over and take this movie over?" [laughs] And I was like, "When do you guys shoot?" And they're going, "Four weeks." And I'm like-

Scott, you have the last word.

Oh man, just look, I've been so fortunate to work on this film and I was looking for some material since Act of Valor, which I made 14 years ago to find some piece of material that I could really sink my emotional teeth back into and Runner was it.

So I'm so lucky to be a part of this movie.
