Well, let's talk about A- Across the Universe, though.

it works, it works more hypnotically, you know? The, the lyrics of Across the Universe always got me, you know?

Yeah.

I didn't really return to them at all.

But in early 1968, they recorded The Inner Light, Lady Madonna, which ended up being issued as a single, those two together, with Lady Madonna on the A side, and Across the Universe, which comes out later on one of their last albums, and Hey Bulldog, the fourth of the four rejects that ended up on Yellow Submarine.

And then they went to India, and they went to learn transcendental meditation with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and Ringo Starr didn't stay very long.

McCartney left pretty early as well, but Lennon and Harrison stayed for a few months.

Right.

And the other one I'll throw at you is as much as I love the composition of Across the Universe, the wildlife, not the McCartney album, but the World Wildlife Foundation version where it's sped up.

And with the birds, the bird, get the birds and the things and the heebles and the let it be.

I don't believe I've ever loved across the universe until let it be naked when it was.

And some of the bootlegs, of course, but we're talking about core catalog when it was finally in the right speed and tone, it slowed down and let it be.

It's sped up on the charity album.

So another one was Across the Universe, which is the title of the book, which is possibly one of my favorite Beatles songs.

And with these incredible cosmic lyrics, they're probably the most cosmic lyrics that Beatles wrote.

the Port of Amsterdam by Jacques Brel, sung by David Bowie, and then you get Across the Universe by Fiona Rappel.

That's quite a clever thing, because you've got a way into both, haven't you?

I was going to mention, having talked about Boom, that this is something that they do very well.

It came from a dream, like yesterday, came from a dream.

One of my favourites is Across the Universe.

And there's also a second version of it on a charity album that was released in the late 60s.

It's Across the Universe.

And it's actually both versions on my playlist are by the Beatles, but they were produced completely differently.

The charity version was from some world charity event and it was produced with bird sounds and women singing in a high childlike voice in the background.
