Acorns Children's Hospice

A direct cremation has taken place in accordance with Brian's wishes.

Brian was a dedicated volunteer for Acorns Children's Hospice.

If you would like to make a donation in his memory, contributions to Acorns would be greatly appreciated.

Um, going back to other artists who've contributed.

Uh, Ozzy's last concert, the Back to the Beginning concert raised money for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, Acorn Children's Hospice, [clears throat] and Cure Parkinson's.

What's to hate? The only thing that, the only reason I think people hate it is because they don't understand it, and, and I think that that is sadly kinda the case in a lot of things.

Uh, I don't understand why it has to carry over to music.

Charlie Shakespeare, who joined Fisher German's Worcester office in September 2025, completed the Worcester City run after his colleague Jason Clines was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Mr Clines, a partner in valuations at the firm, had originally signed up to run in support of Acorns Children's Hospice but had to pull out after sustaining an injury.

Mr Shakespeare said, hadn't done a run in a 10k race before, but I've done a few competitive runs in the past, so I thought I'd give it a go, when Jason couldn't run because of his injury.

It was harder than I expected, the pace was quick.

Had my acorns vest on, so I had loads of people cheering me on, even though they didn't know my name.

I was aiming for anything under 45 minutes and finished in just under 43 minutes, so I was quite pleased.

As well as finishing the distance, Mr Shakespeare also raised just under £300 for the Worcester City Run's official charity partner, Acorns.

It was not his first experience with long-distance running.
