blind or low vision with guides and so i walked over there and sure enough it was a local organization called achilles international and they had i don't remember probably three or four uh individuals with disabilities and guides who ran in the race and um i introduced myself you know said let them know that I was visually impaired, asked all about what they were doing because I had just experienced this.

I think that's probably the funniest one and the most

ironic

was being out there independently, running into that thing, and then 200 meters later, meeting an organization that had I already known about them could have saved me from that.

And since then, We're very active in the Achilles International Nashville chapter, and they've really, really been supportive of me and a lot of my efforts to run here locally and support me with guides.

So it's a great organization

for sure.

one of the adaptive organizations i'm part of in the u.s is achilles and they have it's actually achilles international and they have chapters around the world and so when i had found out that the race was in finland um i had was was fortunate to get funding connecting with their chapter in germany and uh was able
