Acetoacetate is the kind of firstborn ketone, um, but it's at much lower levels in the blood than BHB is.

This is what you measure in the classic urine strips.

So you get those cheap little strips, you pee on them, and that's what it's telling you.

All right? Now, let's name the two main ketones that the body will produce when it is deprived of carbohydrate, and therefore s- flips into this metabolic mode of ketosis.

Acetoacetate, it's like acetate, and beta-hydroxybutyrate.

It's like butyrate.
