In fact, if people pre-ordered this game, which generally I don't really recommend, but there was a pre-order bonus of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, the 2006 game, a port for modern platforms.

This is The Belkan War, not the Balkan War.

This is strange real, remember people? But-

okay so what's coming out next week well i know i told you to buckle up a short time ago but now it's really time to buckle up because damn the next seven days are absolutely stacked with games and there's something for basically everyone here we'll start with ace combat 8 wings of thief because reviews for this one actually came out last week on account of the paid early access period if you haven't already seen my review i'll leave a link to it below the like button but long story short this game is exceptionally peak full of ridiculous emotional highs and just straight up hell yeah moments if you are acquainted with ace combat you absolutely must play this and if you aren't i am begging you to start playing it because you have no idea what you missing out on a lot of the other reviews were on the same wavelength this one landed at a mighty 88 on open critic ign gave this one a review in progress score of 9 out of 10 based on the campaign alone saying quote ace combat 8 wings of thief is a remarkable achievement for project aces it combines stunning visual and sound design with engaging story moments whether they're out of cockpit sequences or the radio chatter that build up its excellent memorable characters it's also a surprisingly emotional and resonant story that's deeply relevant to the current age while delivering the best aerial combat the series has ever had alongside some of its best mission design end quote At the time of writing, Ace Combat has just released, and it's worth noting that the hardcore Ace Combat players are a little upset about how things have gone down on Steam, where its user reviews currently sit at 77% mostly positive.

One of the major things is specific to the pre-order bonus for the game, which comes with a port of an older game in the series called The Belkan War, which originally came out on the PS2.
Ralph PanebiancoHOST
22:45
On PC, that hasn't been included as a standalone game, rather it's an alternative launch option when you boot up Wings of Thin.

Some folks who are keen to dive into that game are understandably annoyed that they had to download and install an extra 130 gigabytes to get access to it.

okay.

I was just wondering, because I know that was a thing, even if you were getting it physically, where you get, like, the Belkan War or whatever.

Oh yeah.

Zero, zero remastered.
Brendan BigleyHOST

Oh, yeah.
Brendan BigleyHOST

I'm thinking about pre-ordering it so I can, uh, I... 'Cause what I learned was that Ace Combat Zero you can only get through pre-ordering it, because they, they don't have the rights to actually sell it, which is interesting.

Oh, weird
John JacobsonHOST

So I did that.
John JacobsonHOST

And also, if you pre-order the game, regardless of the version, you get Ace Combat Zero for free as a bonus, which is a game from the PS2 era.
John JacobsonHOST
40:34
And people are upset about how they're giving you the game because it's not a separate game download.
John JacobsonHOST
40:39
It's part of Ace Combat 8.

The really
Paul SmithHOST

scary part of this is, I'm sure they'll release it separately, but the pre-order bonus for this is Ace Combat Zero, which is a prequel game for the entire franchise, and it's a separate game with its own achievements.

It makes sense for them.
Jeremy PenterHOST
15:47
Priority to Ace Combat 8 gets you Ace Combat 0 as well, and it's not going to be available later due to licensing.
Jeremy PenterHOST
15:54
So you get, oh, you get it, and then...
Jeremy PenterHOST
15:57
the people who don't buy that because of licensing will not be able to play it.
GeorgeHOST
71:17
Um, Operation Winback 2, Project Poseidon, I stand corrected.
GeorgeHOST
71:23
Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, which is, uh, one to look out on systems if you've got it.
GeorgeHOST

And I think that draws us to a conclusion there-
