לחשבן is a verb in פיעל with four letter שורש.

So we took חשבון and made out of it a new root, ח.ש.ב.נ, which can exist in פיעל, פועל, and התפעל verb formats.

So לחשבן is exactly like לעשות חשבון or לדפוק חשבון, to worry too much about what others might think.

להתחשבן, להתחשבן is to do the account with someone.

So I owe you, you owe me, and we balance it, אנחנו מתחשבנים.
