Academy School District 20

An update on the decision by Air Academy High School to forfeit its football game tonight against Lutheran High School.

Academy School District 20 says they have concerns about recent reports of racist remarks coming from Lutheran supporters during games against Sand Creek High School and Rampart High School earlier this season.

Air Academy officials said Wednesday that they would not play the game because of a lack of coaches.

It turns out Air Academy football coaches reportedly decided Monday not to coach in the game because of those alleged racist comments from those Lutheran supporters.

They have taken the situation seriously, and I would not want to besmirch their school due to any allegations.

That's a school board member down in District 20 responding to what is happening with Air Academy forfeiting their homecoming game.

Text messages coming in hot on this one.

One saying, beat them on the field.
