But I wanted to highlight a couple of things.

Number one, that one of the great scholars of tafsir, he explains in, uh, Abu Hayyan in Al-Bahr al-Muheet, he explains that in Ayat al-Kursi, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala refers to himself sixteen times very explicitly.

There are sixteen references to Allah in one verse of the Quran.

And I'll go ahead and just go through it very quickly.

There are 16 references to Allah in one verse of the Qur'an.

And I'll go ahead and just go through it very quickly.

He instructed children and entrusted them with treating their parents well through gentle words, soft speech, spending on them, and financial support, and through every other form of kindness and good treatment.

And Abu Hayyan says, There is a subtle point in this verse.

Allah mentions the mother in three respects.

First, within his command regarding both parents, then specifically in relation to pregnancy, and then in relation to breastfeeding, which is indicated by the mention of weaning.

But those who rejected the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam did not respond this way.

Allah, He says, "Those who disbelieve said of the truth when it came to them, 'This is clearly magic.'" Abu Hayyan says that Allah's words, "when it came to them," draw attention to the fact that they did not stop to reflect on what was being recited to them.

Instead, from the very first moment they heard it, they rushed to label it as magic out of stubbornness and wrongdoing.

They did not carefully examine the message and then reach an honest conclusion.
