Absolute

At that period all the efforts of religious philosophy were directed to widen theology and to effect a reconciliation between reason and faith.

The fundamental idea of Eckhart's philosophy is that of the absolute or abstract unity conceived as the sole real existence.

His God is the Theos Agnostos of the Neoplatonists.

He is absolutely devoid of attributes which would be a limitation of his infinity.

How then, it may be asked, can God be a person? The answer is that by the eternal generation of the Son, the Father becomes conscious of himself, and the love reflected back to the Father by the Son is the Holy Spirit.

Together with the Son, God also begets the ideal forms of created things.

The Absolute is thus the common background of God and the universe.

So Satchitananda is a description, you could say even a phenomenological description, of how it feels when your consciousness bursts into that state.

But the yogis will say, don't imagine that Satchitananda actually describes the Absolute.

It doesn't.

It describes the limit of what is sayable in words.

And that's the state when all traces of representation, including self-representation, have fallen away.

That's para brahman.

And only then is one released into the Absolute and no longer anchored into the human dream field, let's say, which is a subfield within Brahman But it is like a bubble in the ocean of consciousness.

It's not the entire ocean.

For the most part of us, it will probably not be possible to realize this during this existence in this body.

But if for the most part of our life we would have had this desire, then when we finally leave this body and this world, It is there that we will certainly go into the total fusion with the Absolute.

Maybe during this life we might have some taste of it, some bit of a try of it, but when we eventually leave this world, that's where we will go.

Maybe during this life we will have a little taste of this, For many of us, this fusion with the Absolute during life maybe it wouldn't be good, because we are meant to do certain things.

We have a certain destiny karma, yes, destiny karma, or destiny for this life, and we have to go through all of this.

And if we were to have such an experience in this life, then all this wouldn't be possible, because our life would be going in a completely different way.

And prevents us from going in a mundane direction, a harmful direction.

Therefore, we try our best and we are happy with whatever the Supreme Being decides, appropriate for us.
