Absolute Batman

18 years later, he was paroled and started wrestling alligators in a carnival before eventually disappearing into the criminal underground.

He eventually made his way to Gotham City and has since become one of Batman's most persistent foes, using his abnormal strength, tough skin, and killer fighting moves to fight the Caped Crusader.

He's bitter, hates people, and lives in the sewers, which you can see in The Serpent by Ed Hannigan and Romeo Tengal.

We also see him crush Batman in a bear hug, fight alligators, bend prison bars, and there's a close-up of his face, as well as what he looked like as a teenager before his condition became so extreme.

Jeez.

What a great story.

Yes, absolutely.

The entry here makes him seem like he's pretty smart, like a master criminal type of stuff.

Sure.

And also like a lot of the big books at DC, things like Absolute Batman and Superman and Batman, like they've got big names on them already and they have long plans that would not be going away anytime soon regardless.

So I don't know.

It was just, it felt like the perfect time.

I think... you know, you know, let's just call it what it is, man.

Absolute Batman really has been the, the, the, the cultural zeitgeist, if you will.

I wouldn't even just say in the industry, it's a cultural zeitgeist now because you're starting to see it in, you know, other, um, phases, uh, other genres.

And, um, but that, that, uh, that creation of that world, that, that universe was Scott and Nick, and you see them simultaneously together.

And Scott definitely, you know, with excitement, wanted to throw a bunch of stuff at me.

And none of it really...

I could wrap my head around because again, this is at the early stages and I'm like, yeah, uh, you know, we'll see hindsight, obviously you're like, oh man, you know, dude, he, I would even say to you, man, he's, Hey man, would you love to do like a, uh, like an annual, like an absolute Batman annual? I'm like, ah, you know, I guess maybe, you know, that kind of thing.

And, um, you know, to see what Daniel did on that.

Absolute Batman and Absolute Wonder Woman are celebrating their 25th issues, and they are bringing heat with both of them.

This is it.
