Absol

After you do defeat this first Kecleon you come across, Steven does fly away, and I've noticed usually only the most important trainers fly away from combat, so I wonder if that's alluding to something.

Otherwise, on this route is also where we have our first Pokédex highlight of the episode with Absol.

[upbeat music] Absol is the disaster Pokémon.

His Pokédex for Pokémon Sapphire reads, "Absol has the ability to foretell the coming of natural disasters.

It lives in the harsh, rugged mountain environment" This Pokémon very rarely ventures down from the mountains.

And I'm pretty sure this is down the mountain, so that is alluding to something right there.

He feels like there is a calamity upon us.

Like, it totally makes sense now if you follow the Pokédex and see what's happening, that something is going to happen.

It's got some good cards in it.

Absolutely, dude.

And

these reprints are...

As someone who completes the Pokedex in every game that comes out, yeah, I know.

I feel it.

Absolutely.

It's kind of cool.

It has Ash, May, Max, Brock, Butler, and Diane.

Primary Pokemon are Jirachi, Absol, Flygon, Groudon, and Pikachu.

All right, so this one.

Plot.

Yep.

Absolutely.

I think there's so many different...

And you know what's crazy too, and that's I think the other thing I did as well, kind of like you were talking about.

None.

None needed.

Absolutely insane set.

Followed by an absolute banger, Deoxys, which came out in February of 2005.

get a bonus point if you guess something true about the Pokemon or about what the drug treats.

First one is Absol.

I'm going prescription

drug.

Miles away, on the upper ridges of the mountain, a solitary, pristine white figure stops dead in its tracks.

It is Absol.

The disaster Pokémon stands against the freezing wind.

Its beautiful, snow-white fur ripples in the cold air, contrasting sharply against its dark blue face and paws.

The horn acts as a biological radar for natural disasters.

And right now, the radar is screaming.

Absol's deep red eyes widen in pure, primal panic.

The mountain is unstable.

It is now a 264k card.

Gengar 240, Cynthia's Rayquaza 228, Absol 168, and Palakia for 75.

Those last two, the Absol and Palakia, I included because they were commissioned by our good friend, uh friend catchable collectibles dan so i thought by giving a quick shout out right there

very nice um well this is a crazy now why these popped off it still blows my mind i think it's i think it's so cool and i'm you know props to you and i have another buddy that has a massive level exposition and he's like like he did not expect this to happen at all and i'm kind of the same boat it's like you know i guess gold stars have to run neos have its run you get the crystals the shinings But it's kind of like, I mean, it's like, I'm like, awesome.

You know, this is great.

So I think

Absol was like his ace Pokemon.

Looks like it.

Yeah.

Mightyena, Shiftry, Cacturne, Torpedo, Absol.

Two grass dark types is wild.

Oh, my gosh.
