Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Like it does go boom, boom, boom, boom.

And it doesn't give you time to sort of think about it, but then you realize you're in a movie called Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

Like, stop questioning any sort of reality.

And of course, like we have these over-the-top action sequences, which are granted CGI.

Yeah, yeah, yeah kind of thing.

And that's both frightening and kind of funny, so maybe they could have done that approach.

But I like the fact that they, there's this earnest seriousness to it 'cause like the idea, the premise is so over the top, and for people who like love their historical accuracy, it's like, damn you filmmakers, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

But I mean, once again, back to the title, title, it's called Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter [laughs].

Not to bring this up, but I brought this up last week when we were talking about Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

The other thing I was thinking of is Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters, which did this.

But that was a major studio release with movie stars and a lot of money.

He does not.

So interesting actually doing this after Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter because I think similar to that this movie kind of needed to pick a lane.

The only problem here is they don't have the money.

I mean, that's Ken Burns' Civil War.

No, we're talking about Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and the 2012 film Lincoln.

Both movies were made in 2012.

One is an amazing movie, and the other is a movie by Steven Spielberg.

Like, dare I say, we can even go back to Walmart and the Otts, where you could find Abraham Lincoln Zombie Slayer, you know, which came out about a month before Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

But before, we had this market, the direct-to-video market.

Studios were competing with each other to get to beat each other to the punch.

And suddenly, one of the top links was to this conversation, and I was like, "Well."

Yeah, let's do that.

So Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter came out in 2012, like we said.

It is rated R, and I forgot how rated R it is.

Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm

... and things jump out at the screen.

The instances where it happens in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter are so noticeable because it feels forced.

"Look at my whip."

I don't know if you would necessarily call it a war movie, but it's not a part of war.

I've seen Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

Very historically accurate.

I have seen war movies.
