Abracadabra

We actually did a whole show on it.

It's the Abracadabra song.

Now see, when you, when you first-- And this is-- You might think this is a silly, uh, a silly thing to be talking about.

It has no relevancy to any of the other stuff that we're talking about tonight.

But you might be surprised to learn that it actually has a lot to do with what we're talking about tonight and what we'll talk about a little bit tomorrow, because this song is called Abracadabra.

Now, you talk about magic, right? Lindsay Clancy recently we saw the iconic photo where abracadabra, it's magic, is literally in the photograph.

I never noticed that until after the Fly Dubai flight where the guy who saved the plane, who apparently is a superhero, blood doesn't oxidize.

So that's magic.

And she went on and did the whole tour and everything.

But together, we were both dancers on Abracadabra.

And Gaga, for me, was like my everything growing up.

It just was like she was the one.

So we were kind of already like...

Oh, so you already met her.

Yeah, well, I had met her in December with him when we did Abracadabra.

Oh, yeah.

I

think the best video I've seen as of late that stuck with me and it's a year old, I think at this point is Lady Gaga's Abracadabra.

She's great.

That was just next level.

What'd you do with Lady Gaga?

What'd I do with Lady Gaga? Uh, Abracadabra music video.

So that one was a fun one.

We were in LA rehearsing.

I've done a lot with Twigs.

So we've done, like, Eusexua, Childlike Things.

Yeah, Abracadabra, Tears in the Club.

I've done some things with Halsey.

Though its roots are ancient, it's clear that this charm still carries power.

If the spell against fever is our oldest recorded use, one of our more modern uses is in Lady Gaga's recent hit, Abracadabra.

She sings abracadabra, pay the toll to the angels, drawing circles in the clouds.

Keep your mind on the distance when the devil turns around.

yeah so i i i'm almost certain i read about this song before hearing the song like i saw it go viral or people being like oh my god have you heard the new kind of an example before actually listen to it um i like it but i'm surprised that it is as big as it is i mean i i don't think it doesn't annoy me after 30 seconds like fran i i do like it i think it would be a eurovision smash uh again but it didn't Yeah, I don't know.

I'm thinking something like Abracadabra by Lady Gaga would be a bit more up my street in terms of like darker dramatic than this.

But yeah, I enjoyed reading about the fact that they were going to offer it to Rita or a Eurovision contestant.

That's what they said.
