Abner Ravenwood

People survived here, labored, loved.

He shut the book he'd been reading, the Journal of Abner Ravenwood, and he looked along the aisle of the plains, He put his hand in the back pocket of his jacket and felt the wad of money there, what Marcus Brody had called an advance from the U.S. military.

He had more than $5,000, which he'd begun to think of as persuasion money if Abner Ravenwood hadn't changed in his attitude toward him.

A touch of bribery, of la mordida.

Presumably the old man would be in need of money, since he hadn't held any official teaching post, so far as Indy knew, in years.

Their cursed snow makes it difficult.

The telephone system is primitive where it exists, that is." Lin Su laughed.

However, I can tell you the last time Abner Ravenwood was heard from, he was in the region of Patan.

And it kept calling, uh, Admiral Winfield Abner Winfield.

I can see him being an Abner, though.

Like, "Oh, Abner."

Oh, yeah.

"Something's going on at the Stevens house."

Oh, Abner Ravenwood is what I thought.

a jeweled bowl filled with earthly riches, and an amulet with the Eye of Mara promising visions of future knowledge.

Looking on the bench, we can see several telegrams, letters, and notes that reflect what we may find inside, and it also references characters from the films like Belloc, the villain in Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Abner Ravenwood, Marion's father and a mentor to Indiana Jones.

A short hallway takes us to another small room, which takes us around an obelisk that displays the dangers awaiting us within the temple.

Snakes, rafts, fire, and spikes.

If you examine the bulletin board, you'll see a note from Dr. Jones to Sala, notifying him he is left to search a hidden passage for the jewel of power hidden within the temple.

He asks Sala to stay and keep an eye on the tourists.

Then there's a telegram from Abner Ravenwood, Marion's father from Raiders of the Lost Ark, to Sala, letting him know he has heard of Indy's disappearance within the temple and to study all references to Gates of Doom that seem to lead to a huge cavern where the Jewel of Power is located.

Then there's a letter from the British Colonial Affairs asking Indy to please clean up the spike chamber before any tourists are hurt and promising to send an antidote as soon as possible.

the first thing I'm going to go to, and it's, you know, in the spirit of, of Justin, his observations, the, the foreground obstruction, which, you know, thank goodness he put, he pulled that out early when we started doing this, that the scene that you talked about, like where the sand is pouring, like we were kind of like looking behind that.

Um, there is the scene where, uh, the U S army intelligence guys show up and learn to try and figure out like, they're really, they're looking for, um, for Abner Ravenwood, but, The older guy with the bow tie, his name is Colonel Musgrove.

It's shot over his shoulders.

We're kind of watching Indy and Brody explain this, kind of sitting behind him, which is kind of fun.
