Abel Forger

He beat Zhang, who was playing good tennis, but hello, that was like Illinois' seven last year.

He beats Abel Forger of Texas, who I thought did look good, and then he loses to Van Schulkwik.

Like, a big letdown for Forbes not to qualify for the, um, uh, NCAA tournament here.

And by the way, like, Max De Len I think is gonna play regionals, so, like, that...

Um, so those were, like, the, the letdowns, Adam.

Were there any players that did on the plus side, like, really stand out for you but maybe didn't qualify?

I think I have to give a shout-out to the Texas guys, like you mentioned Abel Forger, who, you know, at the end of last season was really kind of not looking his best-

Yes

So yeah, those were storylines on the women's side.

On the men's side, outside of the three players who qualified from pre-qualifying other storylines that you had, I thought Texas has looked pretty strong with Abel Forger.

getting through 4-1 over Charlie Robertson.

You also have a freshman for them in Thomas Birkieta, who makes it through as well, 4-4 over Fahim.

All right.

So this next section is headlined by Jacob Verba of Arkansas, who we just saw play and lose in qualifying of the San Diego Challenger.

He opens up against qualifier Abel Forger of Texas.

And then the other seed here is the aforementioned Nasrudinov of Texas A&M, the former Auburn number one player.

Um, okay, let me, let me look.

Ooh, you know what's fun is Abel Forger of Texas versus Charlie Robertson, now of South Carolina.

That really threw me off-

Yes, I know, right?
