My elevator introduction of the Rothko Chapel is it's an institution that's built by a French Catholic couple, by commissioning a Jewish-American, Latvian-American artist, Mark Rothko, and now led by a Turkish Muslim imam.

That's great.

And in so many ways, the threat between French Catholics, Jewish Americans, and my own story from the Middle East, in so many ways, the similarities and differences between these three bundles of identities is a story and a legacy that all these three identities, this bundle of identities, bring to this incredibly important, iconic, historical institution called Rothkopf Chapel.

The founders of Rothko Chapel, Dominique and John de Menil, they were French Catholics, fled from the Nazi invasion of France in the 1940s.

And they came and they made Houston as home.

It takes how long for him to do these? I think, is it 11 tableaus that he did for the chapel? 14.
