And then Sheikh Abdul Razzaq al-Badr he quoted a saying from Sheikh Ibn Baz, who was asked by someone, "What if the other shoe or the other sandal is just a step or two away from me? May I walk to it?" And then, "May I walk to it wearing just only one?" And he, rahimahullah, he responded by saying, "If you are able not to oppose the Sunnah even by a single step, then do so." You know, essentially carry your shoe in your hand to where your other shoe is and then wear them together where the other shoe is.

But don't put one on and, you know, walk over to the other one and then put the other one on.

You know, avoid walking with one shoe on and one shoe off, even if it is one or two steps.

So you say, who among the senior scholars is saying this? Name them.

So when you see, for instance, about An-Nawawi and Ibn Hajar, the Hayyatu Kibar al-Ulima, right, in Saudi Arabia, at the time when Ibn Baz, rahimahullah, was the head of that committee, was asked this question and he said, yeah, despite the fact that we will have some mistakes, but they are credible, religious, Muslim scholars, may Allah have mercy on them, and they are to be learned from, and to be benefited from.

So they praise them, despite that there are some mistakes, and they say, yeah, there are some mistakes, we disagree with these things, but as people, as scholars, they are to be respected and venerated, and made dua for.

Ibn Ubaz on his own was asked this, same answer.

Not only Shaykh al-Rayis.

Why do you guys think Shaykh al-Rayis is bringing something new? Ibn Baz calls against Ta'asub.

Al-Albani calls against Ta'asub al-Madhhabi.

Ibn Uthaymeen.

Like, the last of them is Ash-Shawkani or somebody before Ash-Shawkani.

I mean, they don't even consider Ibn Baz or Ibn Uthaymeen or so on to be mujtahid.

This is not what is meant, the usuli kind of-- Uh, the, this is not what the sheikh is referring to, this usuli definition and terminology.

What is the etiquette and ruling on that? Like for example saying istighfar while the Sheikh is speaking.

I mean we remember, I remember Sheikh Ibn Baz rahimahullah wa ta'ala.

He used to do dhikr at all times even when he is doing a Q&A session.

While the person is asking the question you can see the Sheikh is doing dhikr.

Let's place him on house arrest, and let's just make his life more difficult so that, um, you know, to, that he's not able to, uh, get the message across, you know, and to reach the people that, uh, are listening to him, right? Just because to...

And of course, they believe that he's a kafir, right? And, uh, um, uh, Sayyid, uh, Ahmad Al- Alawi Al-Maliki, he has this very famous statement where he's talking to one of the, uh, uh, great, you know, like the, the, uh, I forgot if it was, uh, Ibn Baz or Ibn Uthaymeen.
