Thank you very much, Adrian Pope.

You know, the only English pope was Adrian Breakspear, um, back in the 12th century, and he lived in Abbots Langley, up the road where I grew up, and there are three roads called Adrian Road, Pope's Road, and Breakspear Road.

There you go.

Rudimentary P&I formed in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire, England in 1980, and have had the same lineup from the beginning until now.

That's Nick Blinko on guitar and vocals, Grant Matthews on bass, and John Gravel on drums.

Nick Blinko has an entire story of his own.

Now, this album has perhaps the darkest backstory of any rudimentary penile album.

Throughout the making of this record, Nick was completely off the deep end mentally.

I began to have the overriding illusion that I would be the next Pope Adrian because we were both named Nick and I lived in Abbots Langley.

It seemed as if we had much in common.
