Also Vashti the queen made a feast for women in the royal house which belonged to the king Ahasuerus.

And on the seventh day when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Abagtha, Zethar and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king, to bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal to show the people and the princes her beauty for she was fair to look upon.

Meaning that after he had made-- taken them on a tour for more than eight years, he still considered that the most beautiful proof of his power was the display of her beauty.

What did the scripture say was happening then? She was also holding a meeting for women, right? Please beware women.

And in verse 10 it says, And on the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded...

Mehumen, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zetha, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king, to bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal to show the people and the princes her beauty, for she was fair to look on.

But the Queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains.

Therefore was the king very wroth and his anger burnt in him.

Queen Vashti also gave a feast for the women of King Ahasuerus' palace.

On the seventh day, when the king was feeling good from the wine, Ahasuerus commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven eunuchs who personally served him, to bring Queen Vashti before him with her royal crown.

He wanted to show off her beauty to the people and the officials because she was very beautiful.

But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king's command that was delivered by his eunuchs.

But the Queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by the eunuchs.

Therefore, the king was very angry, and his anger burned in him.

So I don't know.

I don't know why it worked out that way.

But anyway, it says, "On the seventh day," in verse 10, "when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, and Abagtha, Zethar and Carcas, the seven eunuchs who served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king, to bring Vashti the queen before the king, wearing the royal crown, to show the people and the princes her beauty, for she was beautiful." Okay, so this feast is going on for seven days, and on the seventh day, the last day of the feast, it says the king was pretty much deeply inebriated, and he decided it would be a good idea to show off his wife to all of these princes and nobles and commoners that were at this feast.

Because his wife was probably the last thing he held back from these people.

Queen Vashti also gave a banquet for the women in the royal palace of King Xerxes.

On the seventh day, when King Xerxes was in high spirits from wine, he commanded the seven eunuchs who served him: Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar and Karkas, to bring before him Queen Vashti, wearing her royal crown, in order to display her beauty to the people and nobles, for she was lovely to look at.

But when the attendants delivered the king's command, Queen Vashti refused to come.

Then the king became furious and burned with anger.
