27:24CarlHOST
And then keep moving because to get up the next section, which is called Asgard Pass, this section is, this is the worst part of the trail for most people.
C
27:38CarlHOST
So this is, it's a 2,000 feet of elevation gain over one mile.
C
27:45CarlHOST
um so very strenuous and it's all over boulder terrain so you're it's like a boulder field so you're not you're you're trying to seek a path without having a true path carved um and this takes a while um and you wanted so you want to do this section before the sun has crested over the mountains so that way you don't have it beating on you as you are trying to ascend
K
28:54KelleyHOST
It was just a long, strenuous, like really, you know, really steep climb essentially.
K
29:00KelleyHOST
And like you mentioned, like you do have to do a lot of wayfinding here.
K
29:04KelleyHOST
There's not really one... only one designated path there's like all these different potential paths and you need to make sure that you follow all trails and follow the cairns that are on the trail um in order to make sure you're going up the direction that is the best direction because there's definitely some ways to go up asgard pass that will bring you to worse terrain that it's much more difficult to ascend and potentially run into like waterfalls and different things like that so
C
29:34CarlHOST
And there's sections that you can end up having to rock scramble up and over large boulders, which just
