... "Hey, I don't have to, I don't have to care about compressing this or making it efficient or something, 'cause I just got so much hardware." And the end result is you can be worse off than you were to start with.

And so there's also this pattern of people just using it just to use it, which is what we're seeing with, uh, corporate AI.

So, you know, like, like, another example would be we have LED lighting or something, and then instead of being like, "Oh, hey, we have a world in which we use less electricity to do the same thing, which is just we need a certain amount of lighting." No, then you have, like, buildings in China that are covered in LEDs, just-

But on the other side, right, you do have some more commodification of some of these providers who are willing to compete on, okay, well, we're all serving Minimax 2.5, how do I make my business more profitable and how do I survive? A lot of that might need to be, how do I do inference for the cheapest possible way? So even if it's not at home, some of the open source ethos, I think, can infect this drive to more sustainability.

Yeah.

So I guess I, I'm just summarizing that it's the, the ideals and the people who care about the principles and the systems and the privacy or open source stuff, that can be a driver, but it has to reach that point where there's some reason why other people actually find it annoying or it's shitified enough that they're like, "Oh, well, I'll go to this other thing because that's better." And it has to exist for that pattern to happen, so it's extremely important we do that, 'cause I don't see any other off-ramp to this pattern we're on.

Because it's my Grandpa Bernie's silverware, and I look around the kitchen and everything in my apartment is my Grandpa Bernie's.

The, the art on the walls from his house in Bayside, the furniture, the, his record collection, my dishes, my love of food, my love of music, my first cup of coffee, my first hot dog, my anger, my, my, uh, my affection, my every- my New York sensibility, it's his.

And now I have to leave it, and I don't know how to say goodbye to it or to him.

And then I see this clock on the wall in my living room.

It's his clock from his store in the Lower East Side.

It says, "Forsythe Monuments, Established 1911." And now I know what I wanna do for my last day in New York.
