We're talking about the long-running franchise, the sci-fi horror franchise that started way back in 1979.

This is being written by Aaron Guzikowski, the writer of Denis Villeneuve's Prisoners way back when, 2013, I believe that came out, and creator of the HBO Max series Raised by Wolves.

Again, we don't know much about this.

We don't even know if it's going to be a follow up to Alien Romulus that came out a couple of years and that I very much enjoyed.

Aaron gives a goes a Kowski, uh, who wrote Denisville news, English language debut prisoners has been tapped to write a new alien feature for 20th century studios and Ridley Scott.

Scotty, I'm not familiar with Aaron Guzikowski's work outside of Prisoners, but Prisoners is a great movie.

I recommend it, but I recommend it with a caveat.

It's a movie that I've only watched once because it is very intense and it weighs very heavy, but it's got some great performances.

And Aaron... guzikowski writing the screenplay i i think that's it i don't know guzikowski previously worked with scott on hbo max's sci-fi series raised by wolves oh good series uh if you have not checked out raised by wolves it was really good really good sci-fi uh so the question i have for the chat question i have for are you guys here will ridley scott is ridley scott coming back to alien is that going to be a good thing for the direction of the franchise or should they stick with what they wing

You know, when I first heard this, I'm like, oh my gosh, they're getting Ridley Scott back? That's awesome.

You know, aces.

And a lot of this is happening because in the midst of a lot of unknowns already, Ridley stepped in like a month and a half ago or whatever.

uh with the dog stars coming out you know just in time to make four dollars at the box office um you know he came out swinging saying that romulus was not very good and that he could have done a better job and doing his classic ridley scott for some reason being an asshole to everybody thing and saying that he's going to make a new one and then we get the news to jamie's point that aaron guzikowski who wrote something amazing which is then he built his prisoners and and something less amazing, which is Ridley Scott's Raised by Wolves, that he's now being brought in to write it.

And again, we don't know, is he writing, is he working on the script that we know Fede and Gato Olivares and Brian Duffield were working on? Is he writing a new script? We don't know.

But what I what I personally am feeling at the moment is that Ridley is wanting to kind of wrest control of this again.

However, we are getting another Alien movie, at least if Ridley Scott has anything to say about it.
