How do we prevent the legitimate evaluation from turning into assumptions, again, what I just mentioned, about what a personal- a person with a disability won't be able to do?
8:49
You know, it's, it's a good question.
8:51
And here's kind of a controversial take.
8:55
I, I understand why, you know, in an interview, you know, you can't ask someone about their disability and, and, you know, unless they bring it up.
9:00
But let, let's all be honest.
9:03
If you were able to ask questions that are not in a negative way, things would be so much easier.
9:08
Because I think most of the time people mean good, and I don't necessarily agree with the fact that you can't ask someone about their disability.

7 MINS LATER

16:45
Yeah
8:07
So maybe you could talk a little bit about what does that look like to lead with gratitude in a way that really does have the business impact that we all talk about, right? Performance, not necessarily just morale.
8:18
Yeah.
8:18
Look, both positivity and negativili- negativity are infectious.
8:23
If you are a positive leader, that's going to spread throughout your organization.
8:27
If you are negative, that's gonna spread as well, and you're gonna see that in your growth, in your numbers, in your performance of people around you.
8:35
I believe that everybody has something to be grateful for.
8:37
Even if you're someone who doesn't practice gratitude in certain ways, you can find something to be grateful for.
10:54
How do you think about, you know, inclusion and policies that, that impact those types of things?
14:08
How-- what pieces of advice would you give to both of those groups of people as far as how to control their destiny?
14:16
Yeah, it's, it's, it's a good question.
14:18
There's two aspects to it.
14:19
The first thing is something I learned from my coaches in football.
14:22
You can only control what you can control.
14:24
And then the analogy in football is you can't control what the other team does and how they show up.
14:28
You can control if you're running with the ball that you hold it high and tight, that you don't fumble the ball, that you don't go offside, that you don't make penalties.
17:01
Yeah, so you've used the F word a whole bunch of times in that last sentence, and I just gotta ask you, like, give us a good story of when you failed.
