Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey has joined a coalition of 45 states and territories that are seeking court approval of settlements with generic drug companies for inflating prices.

Frey says the settlement will resolve allegations that Ascend Laboratories, Citron Pharma, and Maine Pharma engaged in a long-running conspiracy to manipulate prices.

If approved, the AG's office says Ascend will pay $400,000 and Maine will pay 650,000.
