Aaron Director

He advocated for the abolition of the welfare state because he believed that the free market would provide for the impoverished.

He was, by all accounts, a devoted husband to Rose Director Friedman, an accomplished economist in her own right, and the older sister of Aaron Director, one of Friedman's closest collaborators at Chicago, and a generous intellectual sparring partner who made himself available to students and peers alike.

He was a small man, physically, who commanded a room through the sheer velocity of his mind.

He was funny, he was warm, and he was, in the most complete sense of the word, wrong.
