Aaron Benanav

There are a couple of books that I think are coming out or have come out recently or essays that have come out that actually probably are what you're looking for.

And, um, one is from Mike McCarthy, um, one is from Bhaskar Sunkara and Mike Beggs, another is from Aaron Benanav, and then Katrina Forrester, um, all friends and guests of the pod, future and past.

So Mike McCarthy's Master's Tools came out from Verso a couple of years ago.

Mike outlines a project of what he calls sortition-based financial institutions.

But they also think that needs to be supplemented by internally democratic and cooperatively managed, publicly financed, but operationally independent profit-seeking firms competing on markets for one another.

So this is a unique vision for market socialism that's distinctive from central planning, but also from social democracy, and they are outlining their blueprint in that book.

So Aaron Benanav, who is, um, has been a guest on the show talking about the future of work.

He was a long time editor at Endnotes, um, Journal, someone I've known since I was a teenager.
