Annette Bening wins, not Hilary Swank.
Gordon McNultyHOST
The Indie Spirits, uh, McTeer is nominated for Best Female Lead, loses to Hilary Swank, also alongside Diane Lane for A Walk on the Moon, Witherspoon for Election, and Susan Traylor for Valerie Flake.
Gordon McNultyHOST
I do not know this movie or actress, but good for her.
Gordon McNultyHOST
And then also Kimberly J.
Reneé Hunter VasquezHOST
You're like, "Something's not right." We pull away from the moon, making it smaller and smaller as the voice of older Jane, played by Tova Feldshuh speaks up.
John Paul VasquezHOST
Tova Feldshuh, she was in A Walk on the Moon in '99, Lady in the Water in '06, and she did 15 episodes of The Walking Dead from 2015 to 2016.
Reneé Hunter VasquezHOST
Mm.
Travis Hunter-SayapinHOST

Katie ChambersHOST
Um, it's Character Building for Film and TV.
Katie ChambersHOST
The first one just started.
Dane McDonaldHOST
Is this your Viggo hotness movie?
Louis PeitzmanHOST
It's up there, but I think if I have to pick... a movie in the sub-genre that it's not cheating if it's Viggo Mortensen, I would go with A Walk on the Moon because he has long hair and he...
Louis PeitzmanHOST
What do they call him in that? The blouse man? I only see his
Dane McDonaldHOST
credited name, which is Walker Jerome, but if you...
Dane McDonaldHOST
He feels spiritually a little younger than Willem Dafoe, even though he is 67.
Dane McDonaldHOST
So he's not a spring chicken.
Louis PeitzmanHOST
No, he has that thing in this movie and in A Walk on the Moon where you, like, assume he's younger because he's, like, the younger, hot guy who's seducing a married woman, but he's, like, 40.
Louis PeitzmanHOST
He's a very handsome 40, but he's not, like, you know, a 20-something artist.
Louis PeitzmanHOST
It's fine.
Louis PeitzmanHOST
I understand the appeal.
Louis PeitzmanHOST
I just think he has a weird accent.
Dane McDonaldHOST
Well, you could say that about most of his movies.
29 MINS LATER
Louis PeitzmanHOST
I think all of them, probably.
Louis PeitzmanHOST
All his movies from the 80s and 90s.
Louis PeitzmanHOST
There's some sort of turning point where he stops being kind of charmingly creepy and he starts just being creepy and i don't think it's just age but there's something that like turns where he's no longer appealing and you know that he once was because you can watch like you know fatal attraction or basic instinct even even though he's you know a rapist and that but like there's there's something that turns and then i feel like by the mid 90s like it's not there anymore um Even in
Bobby FingerGUEST
Disclosure, it's there, which I just watched for the first time.
Jeremy CohenHOST
One guy, the main guy's name is Uri.
Jeremy CohenHOST
But Harry and his wife Marla, played by wonderful actress Tova Feldschuh, she famously plays Diane Lane's mom in A Walk on the Moon, a really great movie from the end of the 90s, where Diane Lane plays, you know, a young mom, and her husband is played by Liev Schreiber, and I believe Anna Paquin is their daughter, and...
Jeremy CohenHOST
She has an affair with the Viggo Mortensen character, spoiler alert, and Viggo Mortensen's character in that movie never, we never get his name.
Jeremy CohenHOST
He sells blouses, he sells women's shirts, and he is known by all the characters in the story as the Blouse Man.
Jeremy CohenHOST
Diane Lane in that movie has a very hot and steamy affair with the Blouse Man.
Jeremy CohenHOST
But Tova Felcher played the mom, and she gets a lot of laughs in A Walk on the Moon.
Jeremy CohenHOST
She's really the only funny character.
Jeremy CohenHOST
And in this movie, she plays Dustin Hoffman's wife.
